My Journey to Public Relations

Like many entrepreneurs, I began my career journey with a lot of ambition and passion, BUT no real strategy or direction. I started a career as a marketing manager at a global telecommunications company.  In 1999, I began my path to publicity as an entertainment publicist,  having worked with A-list actors/actresses, magazines,  comedians and musicians.  I soon realized that, although this sector of Public Relations and Marketing was engaging, I wanted more.

When I relocated to Washington DC, I began my career in Public Affairs and Government Relations and worked with a former secretary of state. I found myself hosting events in addition to managing public relations. I built a network of high-ranking members of  Congress, Diplomats, Corporate Executives and Nonprofit organizations. I began to diversify my portfolio to include: International Development, Business Development, Marketing Communications Strategy, Meetings, Conventions and Special Events and high profile Public Relations planning and implementation.

In 2004, I was introduced the international market by a colleague. Since then, I have worked with many global initiatives providing communications strategy, diplomatic protocol and reputation management.
